 Century Site Visit  Food at Century

Located just a moment from our offices is a venue that not many know about. Together with a fab opportunity to explore the spaces at Century in Soho, we were also spoilt with delicious food and drinks whilst rendezvousing with the new Sales Manager and in house Events Manager.

Despite it being a discreet Member’s Club hidden away on Shaftesbury Avenue, they open their doors for venue hire (bonus!).  The club has a range of event spaces including: The Green Room, Cocktail Lounge (inside with an amazing mirrored effect ceiling) and the Roof Terrace (our favourite spot!), which is tailored with a retractable roof, making it faultless in all weathers. The roof terrace is packed with beautiful décor; including Moroccan-style lanterns hanging above oversized lit up ‘Century’ letters and snug sofas in corners - altogether crafting a truly tranquil atmosphere! 

To be able to experience first hand Century's new Head Chef's cooking was a special luxury. He supplied the team with an assortment of culinary treats chosen by our hosts, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The two food platters were: "From the Land" packed with vegetarian delicacies including hummus (the Chef's homemade recipe - with a zesty lemon twist) and quinoa cakes and strawberry chilli jam. As if this wasn't enough, we also sampled "From the Farm", a meat lover's pleasure - Chorizo croquettes, chicken karaage (a Japanese influenced fried chicken) and a selection of cured meats and bread. We couldn't possibly indicate our favourite between the two - both plates were emptied and we had very happy tummies!

As foodies, we naturally concentrate on the feast that is in front of our eyes, but generously the Century team delivered a range of cocktails. Pornstar Martinis proved to be a team favourite, however you can’t beat a glass of bubbles! The Pornstar martinis however sparked a debate on how and when the Prosecco should be poured into the drink. A few decided that it should be before, however other suggested “drink it as you go.” Whichever way you drink it, these were delicious!

We cannot thank Century enough for their incredible generosity, the team LOVED it and we have confidence that we’ll work closely there very soon. We believe that viewing the space was a special treat, not to mention adding some food and drinks. Wow, we were pampered! The team left full, with big smiles and with new friends based just around the corner.
