Exploring Estelle Manor: A Stylish Countryside Escape

Monday 7 July 2025

Estelle Manor Exterior Estelle Manor Bedroom Suite

This week VSL were lucky enough to explore the breathtaking, and totally gorgeous Estelle Manor. Just a short distance from Oxford, this stunning countryside retreat is one of the most stylish and talked about venues in the UK and it’s not hard to see why.

Opened in Spring 2023, Estelle Manor is a private members’ club hotel, set across 85 acres of grounds and surrounded by over 3,000 acres of rolling parkland and woodlands. The original manor house dates back to the 1700s, and over the years, has served as a range of establishments but today, it stands as a beacon of refined luxury accommodation.

You are completely immersed in nature, yet still within easy reach of London. There’s something particularly powerful about taking your team outside of London for an offsite. Being away from the everyday distractions gives delegates a chance to properly detach, breathe, and enjoy a change of pace. Venues like Estelle Manor offer the perfect opportunity to step back, and enjoy the kind of meaningful interactions that only happen when truly you’re out of office! With fresh air, stunning surroundings and a wide array of experiences on offer, it’s the kind of place that encourages both reflection and creativity.

We began our tour exploring the manor house. When you head through the main building you are met with a total showstopper, that is the pool — a serene, marble-filled space that feels more like a Roman bathhouse than a hotel pool. It was quite something! The estate features 108 beautifully designed bedrooms, spread across the main manor house, the stables, the walled garden, and a number of private cottages. No matter where you're staying on the estate, everything is thought out and carefully placed with activity spaces, eateries and relaxation spots all just a short walk or buggy ride away.

We continued onto Fallow House, the newest addition to the estate’s offering and the main dedicated event space. This self-contained lodge curated of meeting rooms is perfect for corporate retreats or offsites, with capacity for groups of up to 100 people. The largest room, the Chestnut Suite, is a contemporary space with a vaulted ceiling, open fireplace, and huge windows allowing for plenty of beautiful natural daylight, accommodating a range of event types and seating styles. The space can host up to 70 in theatre style and 40 cabaret with a small stage, offering flexibility to bring a number of meetings to life.

The space spans across two floors and featires three additional rooms; Buckthorn, Wren, and Fawn which are ideal for smaller meetings, breakout spaces or private dining. Combined with two elegant bars: The Tawny Bar and The Owlet Bar perfect for conference breaks or post meeting drinks receptions. Whether you're planning a residential conference or a high-end offsite, Fallow House offers the flexibility and privacy needed to make it a total success.

Dining is another obvious highlight at Estelle Manor. We enjoyed a delicious lunch outside at The Brasserie, where seasonal dishes are served all day in a relaxed yet luxurious setting. Closely located next to the The Orangery, available for private lunches and dinners, this light-filled, elegant space is perfect for more intimate gatherings.

Exploring the estate further, you’ll find The Glasshouse and The Potting Shed set within the venue’s Walled Garden; which overlook the kitchen gardens. Here the plots are filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, reaffirming the Manor’s connection to nature and its farm-to-table ethos.

We continued to explore the grounds, taking in the breathtaking English countryside before looping back round to the main Manor House. Whether you're planning an intimate board meeting, a company wellness retreat, or a celebratory getaway for staff, Estelle Manor delivers on every single level. It’s clear the venue is more than just another countryside hotel — it’s a bold, stylish and ulta sophisticated spot with a mix of history, luxury and contemporary charm, we already can’t wait to go back.
