 Jimmy's BBQ Club

We all love a London pop-up and as Summer fast approaches we are spoilt for choice. From quirky pop up bars and rooftop cinema’s to street food galore, here are some of our top pop-up’s coming your way this Summer.

Jimmy’s BBQ Club

After an incredible tasting experience with Jimmy Garcia last year we cannot wait for his BBQ Club which will be returning this Summer after last year’s huge success. If you have been lucky enough to taste Jimmy’s food, you know you’re in for a creative, foodie experience, which covers all the senses. Located in a secret, enchanted garden in Clapham, you’ll be able to bask in the sunshine while enjoying not just any BBQ, but a 7 course BBQ feast with delicious dishes such as charred peach, beef Thai fillets, and BBQ’d marshmallow’s, as well as an array of drink options from cocktails, beer kegs and even an honesty bar. And if you don’t fancy any of that then you can BYOB! If you’re looking for something different to do this Summer, come rain or shine, this is the BBQ Club for you!

Open from Mid May – end of August 2016

Little Nan’s Rio Bar

Following the popularity of Little Nan’s Tropical Den in Peckham and her 90’s pop-up in Shoreditch, Little Nan has another location to add to her list and this time she’s going all Brazilian on us! Located in the vaults of the grade II listed Rio Cinema in Dalston, expect cocktails in teapots, pick ‘n’ mix , 90’s tunes and the fun kitsch décor you envisage when visiting Little’s Nan’s Pop-Up’s. The team here love the fun and quirkiness of these bars and Little Nan’s Rio Bar is sure to bring something different to the table!

Open from mid May – mid August 2016

Pop-Up Screens

Rooftop and outdoor cinema’s have become almost a yearly ritual for cinema go-ers, once Summer comes around, there is something special about watching our favourite movies al-fresco. Each Summer, Pop Up Screens offers brilliant movie screenings in really cool, unique outdoor locations, and this year is no exception with showings of classics such as Labyrinth, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off , Romeo & Juliet, and The Goonies in great locations including Greenwich Peninsula, Hammersmith and Holborn. One location that particularly caught our eye is The Guildhall Yard in the City, a unique courtyard where you can watch screenings of Pulp Fiction or Gladiator in beautiful, historic surroundings. Don’t forget your snacks, sit back, and enjoy a cult classic movie under the stars.

Screenings from July – September 2016

KERB at King’s Cross

This new and exciting street food concept has been popping up all over the City and as well as a great run at Alchemy 2016 at the Southbank Centre, they are trading at a variety of London locations including King’s Cross, from Wednesday’s to Friday’s all through the Summer. KERB prides themselves on bringing delicious food to the dynamic street food scene in an authentic and colourful way. Vendors or ‘Kerbanists’ as they are also known, include The Grilling Greek, Mother Clucker and Kooky Bakes, offering a variety of street food dishes to the public. As well as lunch markets, KERB can also be hired for corporate and private events, catering for anything from product launches and conferences, to Christmas parties.

Sipsmith have teamed up with House of St Barnabas to launch it’s most recent pop up the Sipsmith Punch House. Celebrating the newest addition to the gin brand, the collaboration with this iconic social enterprise venue provides the atmosphere of London in the 1800’s where gin cups were served in the Punch Houses, providing a real experience for guests. Located in the Soho area of London, visitors will get to taste a variety of gin-based cups, and get a sneak peak around The House of St Barnabas, as well as finding out more about the interesting story behind this famous gin brand. Drinking gin whilst learning – what could be better?
