We were recently invited to view the event spaces based In Queen Elizabeth Park, Stratford, and it's fair to say we were thoroughly impressed.
The London Stadium, now the home of West Ham United can be exclusively hired for corporate events from meetings and conferences for 200 - 300 guests to receptions for 1,000 guests and gala dinners for 200. This inspirational venue has a variety of spaces each with a different look and feel. The first thing that struck us is how contemporary and chic the interiors are, with cool, booth seating and beautiful golds and copper colours, definitely not a look you expect from your normal stadium conference space!
We also got to step out into the enormous stadium, which can be used for team building events. Alternatively conferences can be broken up with a stadium tour to impress your guests - adding the wow factor to your event!
We then hopped over to the impressive ArcelorMittal Orbit, which can be used in conjunction with the London Stadium for events. Created by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond, the magnificent looping structure of the ArcelorMittal Orbit is an iconic symbol of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London 2012 Games legacy.
With it's show stopping 360 degree views of the City, ArcelorMittal Orbit is the perfect space for a drinks reception or Christmas party for up to 250 guests standing. As well as those impressive views, you can add that extra element to your event and have your guests ride down the UK's tallest and fastest tunnel slide! The bravest members of the VSL team got the opportunity to go down the slide which was absolutely amazing and such a great experience, and definitely one we would recommend if you want to add that fun element to your event.
We also had the chance to sample some of the venues in house catering with some substantial bowl foods from a good old hearty sausage and mash to an incredibly tasty thai green curry - absolutely delicious and what a way to end such a fabulous and inspired evening!
