This year many of London bars and restaurants are channelling the spirit of Hanami (Japan’s cherry blossom season), with stunning floral installations and new menus to celebrate the magic of the season.
With cherry blossom season just around the corner, restaurants and bars around central London are putting their own spin on the Japanese celebration so this cherry blossom season (also known as Sakura), we have put together a list of the best of this season’s gorgeous Cherry Blossom installations which have popped up in some of central London’s top bars and restaurants….
Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch
This trendy and stylish five star hotel in Shoreditch, East London has a large four tiered terrace, referred to as NAMI, which offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you can enjoy a selection of exciting Japanese street food style dishes and top end cocktails. Nobu Hotel Shoreditch are celebrating this cherry blossom season by transforming the terrace with beautiful wall to wall pink foliage and aromatic scents. You can also experience Kabuki DJs – a collection of mysterious, masked DJs – playing live in house every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
Sexy Fish
This popular Asian restaurant and late night bar, owned by the ever growing Caprice Group, is located on the corner of Berkeley Square in prestigious Mayfair, and serves up Japanese inspired sushi, seafood, fish and meat dishes. This year Sexy Fish are bringing the magical period of Sakura to West London with the arrival of a Japanese inspired cocktail menu, gorgeous mirror installation gateway and even an incredible neon pink fish shaped dessert, inspired by the Sexy Fish itself.
Zuma
With restaurants all over the world (including New York, Rome, Hong Kong and Istanbul), their trendy central London venue is the original, now in its 17th year of wowing its guests. This Knightsbridge favourite, Zuma is celebrating the season with a unique installation featuring the beautiful pale pink flowers which will line the walls and ceiling of the bar. One of the most photogenic restaurants in central London, you can step into spring with the ornate installation fleeting above.
