London Christmas Party Show Preview at Shoreditch Gardens
Tuesday 27 July 2021
Last week we hosted our London Christmas Party Show preview event at Shoreditch Gardens. We welcomed over 200 industry professionals to the beautiful grounds for this long-awaited evening of networking; a fantastic opportunity for corporate buyers and event agencies to re-connect once more.
Shoreditch Gardens are located on the beautiful grounds of the newly refurbished Museum of the Home. Previously known as the Geffrye Museum, the venue has recently undergone at £18.1 million redevelopment, now offering stunning lawns and gardens for event hire, combined with a range of brand new, light and bright indoor event spaces for up to 800 guests. The venue provides clients with a fully inclusive party package with everything needed for the perfect corporate or private summer party - from delicious street food (via KERB) and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks to garden games and a PA system for background music and company speeches.
The event kicked off with Venue Search London's seminar: "Top 12 New London Venue Openings", hosted by Eve and Sophie, with our CEO Sam Gill presenting the results of the latest Corporate Event Buyers Survey (click for results and to find out what the latest booking trends look like!).
The VIP event was a fantastic opportunity for our early bird Exhibitors to make the most of a more intimate setting with some of our key corporate clients and fellow event agencies and was presented in partnership with some of the London Christmas Party Show sponsors including KIN London, KERB Food, AMMP, Beyond Repair Entertainment, Sternberg Clarke Entertainment, Plant Designs and Yahire to name just a few!
“We wish to extend a huge thank you to all our partners for delivering a much welcomed live industry event in the evening sunshine and it was great to share some delicious food, drinks and lockdown stories with so many industry friends and colleagues, after 16 months of digital communication. We expect to see many more at the main Show in September.” - Sam Gill, Founder/Director of Story Events & VSL.
The evening brought guests together from all over the industry with a sparkling wine and cocktail reception set within the stunning lawns of Shoreditch Gardens, with some of their fantastic street food stands brought to you by the brilliant KERB food including: Calamari Canteen, Chubby Dumpling, Jolloff Mama and Hackney Gelato.
Following a fabulous preview event, we're looking ahead to the main event in September, with plenty more seminars, workshops and networking to look forward to (with plenty of food and drink as per usual!).
Registration for the September Show is now open, where visitors can meet over 100 London venues and event suppliers, in addition to attending a packed agenda of informative seminars and interactive workshops.
Our 2021 show theme is an homage to the industry we know and love.
After a year and and a half of limited live events and over two years since our last live London Christmas Party Show we are looking to the future with optimism and wish the very best to the event industry as she recovers from her hiatus. So here’s to our visitors and exhibitors as we send our very best ‘Christmas Wishes’ to you all for an amazing Christmas 2021 and beyond!
Come and join us on 7-9 September at the brand new Pan Pacific London for a ‘Christmas Wishes’ themed event filled with over 100 event venues and suppliers to inspire Christmas 2021 and beyond, across three glorious days.
Our Charity partner, The Alzheimer’s Society will also be running a prize draw at this years show. This year has been difficult for many of us, but it has been especially devastating for people living with dementia, their carers and loved ones. Many are now facing terrible consequences because of the pandemic and they need our support now more than ever.
You can enter our prize draw to win a KitchenJoy Cookery School voucher and support those living with dementia. Runners up will receive a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne.
1 ticket means that 4 people could find up-to-date information on local and virtual support services through the Dementia Directory online resource. This is essential right now, when so many local support services are paused or changing their delivery.
5 tickets could provide 48 minutes of specialist advice via the Dementia Connect Support Line. With people more isolated than ever before, it’s critical that people affected by dementia can speak to an expert on the support line seven days a week.
10 tickets could mean 124 people can access Talking Point, our online community. With sign-ups increasing by over 170% since March, Talking Point is needed more than ever as a safe space for sharing knowledge, and gaining advice and support during this frightening time.
20 tickets could mean that a specialist Dementia Adviser can get in touch with 10 people who need to know they’re not alone. Welfare Calls from Dementia Advisers have given people affected by dementia the support and reassurance they’ve needed this year.
