VSL host third Event Industry Leaders Lunch in aid of Akwaaba Volunteers

As part of Venue Search London’s ongoing support of our charity, Akwaaba Volunteers, we were delighted to support our founders, Sam and Dommie Gill at their third Industry Leaders Lunch for over 50 owners and directors of UK events businesses at Park Village Studios in Camden.
The charity, based in Accra, Ghana, focusses on improving the lives and opportunities of hundreds of children via education, sports and vocational programmes. The event has already raised over £2,500 for the charity (enough to sponsor 10 children through school for the next 12 months), and we are so grateful to our 50 paying guests for supporting us on our journey to improve the lives of so many children in the city.
A huge thank you to Jack Webb (and his venue team led by Diane Moulin) for throwing open his beautiful doors to us, Alix Caiger and her team at Caiger & Co. Catering for the superb lunch, Taran O'Doherty from Yahire for donating the event furniture, and to Mike Kershaw for hosting a lively business discussion prior to the lunch....
Park Village Studios is a real “hidden gem” venue, a fine Victorian building on the edge of Regents Park and just a few minutes walk from Camden Town Station. It offers three very different event spaces that can be hired individually or togther, depending on the size and type of event planned.
Venue Search London have been supporting the charity for the last 18 months, funding vital sports equipment and collecting and distributing hundreds of reading books, shoes and sports kits to support the children.
Through the efforts of our founders, the events industry now sponsors the education of over 20 children, in addition to funding a new vegetable garden and intervention teacher at the Future Leaders School. We are also supporting the new sewing centre by gifting all every new client that we welcome to Venue Search London with a beautiful A5 notebook made by the pupils of their sewing school.
