Summertime Favourites

A Tribute to Dr Strange at the Queen of Hoxton

As September fast approaches, the Venue Search London team (along with the rest of London) are scrabbling around trying to make the most of the glorious sunshine at our favourite alfresco spaces in London. So we wanted to share some of our favourite rooftop bars, gardens and terraces that we like to visit with friends to enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two!

Brixton Beach Boulevard

Taking guests back to 1980s Miami, the South Londoner’s of the Venue Search London team are loving this quirky summer pop up. There are a whole host of DJ’s and parties going on at Brixton Beach as well as delicious street food, sport screenings and immersive performances – they even hold disco aerobics and yoga once a week, what more do you need?

Aperol Spritz Terrazza at Bird of Smithfield

This beautiful bar and restaurant in Farringdon is a great spot for an after work drink or catch up with friends, and this Summer they have been inspired by the Terrazza Aperol in Milan, creating a fun summer space on their rooftoop where guests can relax. As well as serving Aperol Spritz and other summer cocktails, they are hosting a variety of events, including food and beverage tastings and arty workshops from Print Club.

Pergola on the Roof

Located in White City in the West of London, this cute food court is set 170 feet high on the rooftop of a television centre, under a stunning canopy of flowers, transporting visitors to the Mediterranean. Expect a variety of great restaurants including Patty and Bun and Salt Yard, and bars serving wine, beer and summer cocktails. We would definitely recommend making a reservation for one of the rooftops giant day beds, which can seat up to 12 guests, creating that fun Ibiza vibe in the heart of West London.

Pleasure Island at Grand Union Wandsworth

We all love a good old British beer garden, and Grand Union in Wandsworth have put a twist on their outdoor space with 'Pleasure Island'. The alfresco drinking den is inspired by the beaches of California, boasting a palm thatched cocktail bar, swing seating, beach huts and even ping pong tables, making this hidden gem in South London well worth a visit.

Queen of Hoxton Rooftop

The super cool roof top terrace in East London is transformed twice a year, from a winter wigwam to a summer of love, taking it back to the legendary summer of 1967 with a 'Tribute to Dr Strange'. As well as serving a whole host of cocktails, slushies and bar food (including the incredible psychedelic ice cream sandwich!), the rooftop bar also hosts a variety of workshops and the Rooftop Film Club, where you can watch your favourite film under the stars. The quirky terrace is definitely one of our favourite summer spots - we don't want the fun and flower power to end!
