Our top picks for somewhere new to visit this summer

FEST Roof Terrace Dine in the Sky

You just can't beat London in summertime, spending time in the great outdoors, ideally with a drink in hand! With this in mind we've picked out five of our favourite new or newly refurbished summer party hire venues that are perfect for enjoying London in the sun.

FEST

For outdoor shenanigans when the sun is shining, FEST Roof Gardens in Camden is the place to be. Not only does it have panoramic views of North London, you can also find delicious street food, pizza, cocktails, craft beer and live music. What's not to like?! Along with three other areas: The Stables. The Club Room and The Bird Cage there is something for everyone and you can enjoy your summer, come rain or shine!

Dine in the Sky

For two weeks this summer, you could be part of an unforgettable gastronomic experience that’ll see you take to the sky for a meal suspended 100ft in the air above the city. Dine in the Sky is only back from the 5th to 15th July, so make sure that you don’t miss out and book your spot now. You can enjoy this experience throughout the day; Breakfast in the Sky, Brunch in the Sky, Lunch in the Sky, Tea in the Clouds, G & High Tea, Sunset Dinner, Chef’s Table in the Sky and Cocktail & The Start. And to top it all off, they have partnered with 3 award winning chefs who will be cooking in person on selected dates. A completely unmissable experience!

The Gardening Society Rooftop and John Lewis

The Summer of Sounds at John Lewis' Gardening Society Rooftop on Oxford Street celebrates music, food and drink. With immersive sound studios and a Fever Tree gin and tonic bar it's the perfect location to take a break from the lively central shopping scene. This pop up is only open during the summer months, so grab a deckchair, sit back and enjoy a drink (or two)!

The Terrace at Jumeriah Lowndes Hotel

The Terrace restaurant at the Jumeriah Lowndes Hotel is a hidden oasis in Belgravia. It has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, along with mouthwatering meats and seafood available from a barbecue grill. It has re-opened this year coinciding with the opening of the Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum. In addition to the popular barbecue-style menu that is refreshed annually, a separate Mexican themed food and cocktail section will be on offer as an ode to Frida.

The Deck

The Deck at the National Theatre is currently under refurbishment but is set to open for events from August. It offers 360 degree views of London, a very rare and impressive attribute that not a lot of venues can offer. With The Deck being in association with the National Theatre why not combine a matinee or evening performance with your event? Whether it's a family-friendly comedy or classic revival, you're bound to find a production to suit your party.
