NoMad Restaurant London NoMad London Hotel Exterior

The VSL team cannot get enough of new openings and NoMad London is no exception. The brand-new central London Hotel takes residence within a grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station, situated directly across from the famed Royal Opera House.

Led by Sydell Group (think The Ned), the iconic building will be transformed into a 91-room hotel with much of the original architectural features preserved and woven into the design, combined with an artistic New York flair.

Where the original Magistrates’ Courtroom will be re-designed as a luxury space for private events and gatherings, NoMad London will also feature a museum with rotating exhibitions will honour the history of the Metropolitan Police Force.

Six unique event spaces have been announced with capacities ranging from 16 to 75 guests seated or 30 to 125 for a standing reception.

The largest of the event spaces, The Magistrates’ Ballroom, also offers two adjacent private dining rooms, a separate bar, and a dedicated entrance from the street, allowing guests to come and go in privacy without getting lost in the buzz of the main hotel reception.

In addition, you have the option of a buyout for the NoMad Restaurant seating up to 120 guests for dinner or 350 standing, offering flexibility for a wide range of event sizes. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the NoMad Restaurant will comprise of three rooms: The Atrium, a three-storey light-filled space enclosed by a glass ceiling, with an abundance of plants and greenery offering the vibe of an Edwardian greenhouse; The Atrium Bar, a bit more private with the feel of a garden gazebo; and The Fireplace Room, an intimate and warm space for small gatherings.

The 91 bedrooms will be divided into four categories with several luxurious suites in addition. The entry level ‘Classic’ already provides a fabulous array of amenities including hardwood floors throughout, Carrara marble mosaic bathrooms, Argan bath amenities by Côté Bastide, custom artwork curated by be-poles, fully stocked minibars, complimentary high speed internet, a nightly turndown service and, most importantly in this new age; touchless check-in and keyless entry.

NoMad London offers several food and beverage spaces, including a casually elegant all-day restaurant set inside a landscaped atrium with a soaring glass ceiling; a neighbourhood bar and restaurant on the corner where the entrance to the police station once stood; a classic NoMad Library space reserved for guests of the hotel, and an intimate lounge where the coal vaults once lived.

This exciting new London venue resides a short walk from the Piccadilly Line Tube station, and is within walking distance to Soho, the River Thames and Leicester Square. Hotel accommodation bookings are now being taken from 1st December 2020.
