There is something very exciting about being one of the first companies to stage an event in a new venue. Here are our top ten for 2018.

In addition to presenting the highlights of the latest London Christmas Party Survey, the team revealed their hottest recent and upcoming new London venue openings and refurbishments. In case you missed it, here they are:
Petersham Nurseries
Petersham have branched out and have opened in the heart of Covent Garden. With two restaurants, private dining and a courtyard, this is a stunning new opening. Serving Italian styled small plates in Il Goccia and then an all a carte British menu in The Petersham, this venue has something for everyone!
The Basement at St Martins Lane
Looking for something for around 100 guests? Looking for something special and exclusive? The Basement at St Martins Lane hotel is going to be opening in June. You will have a private bar and DJ and will have a speakeasy vibe, for either standing receptions or seated dinners
Mezemiso
Brand new rooftop venue opening atop the hotly anticipated Crowne Plaza Victoria Embankment. Positioned on the 14th floor, the restaurant and bar has panoramic views across the London skyline and tempts the tastebuds with an authentic Lebanese menu. Capacities are to be confirmed, but they will also have an outdoor shisha, dining and cigar terrace alongside the main restaurant. Opening in Summer 2018.
The Dixon
Latest offering from The Marriott Autograph Collection to be located on Tooley Street at London Bridge. Formerly the Tower Bridge Magistrates Court, the hotel has retained some of its historical features while bringing it into the 21st Century with plenty of colourful art work and modern blue, copper and muted tones. The venue will have two event spaces, the largest of which will be 105sqm – capacities to be confirmed.
An iconic London Hotel, The Mandarin Oriental has undergone a £85 million refurbishment. They have refurbished all 161 of their bedroom & suites as well as 2 new Penthouses both with terraces. June will launch the opening of their newly refurbished Ballroom will reopen, the capacity will stay the same sitting 250 banquet style but the entire space has been refreshed and bought up to date incorporating the beautiful scenes of Hyde Park into the room.
Neptune
The Principle was one of the most anticipating openings of 2018 and May they will launch their new restaurant Neptune run by the people behind Hackney’s The Richmond and Elliott’s in Borough Market. The restaurant will have 102 covers plus a further 30 at the Oyster and Shellfish Bar which will take centre stage in the restaurant. It is intending to be a very social venue with tower seafood platters to share!
Dine in the Sky
For two week this summer Dine in the Sky is back. From the 5th – 15 July 2018 you can have an unforgettable experience where you will be suspended 100ft in the air above the city for a unique dining experience. Three tables seating 22 diner will be seated around the table above London’s South Bank each with different menus designed by award winning chefs Robin Gill, Lee Westcott and Pascal Aussingnac. The different experiences available are; Breakfast in the Sky, Brunch in the Sky, Lunch in the Sky, Tea in the Clouds, G & High Tea, Sunset Dinner, Chef’s Table in the Sky and Cocktail & The Start. A completely unmissable experience.
Soho House White City
The newest addition to the iconic Soho House Collection, the White City location has taken up residence in the former doughnut shaped BBC building from the 1960’s. The venue has brought the style of the spaces up to date while still maintaining some of the original 60’s feature in homage to its previous life. The Electric Cinema and Bluebird Restaurant offer stunning spaces to hire for everything from a private screening to a quirky conference to private dining for up to 100 guests.
London Bridge Arches at Glaziers Hall
Glaziers Hall is a great event space that has refurbished it's storage room into a stunning space, they have restored the Georgian Brick arches and exposed the London Bridge in a splendid wine cellar. To make the space even more exclusive it has a private entrance making any event special. It is an intimate space that should be considered for any event from drinks receptions to meetings.
The Blue Posts
An 18th century pub located in the heart of Soho is a great new opening that opened in December. It is situated over three floors all with a different identity. The Mulwray is an great space on the second floor for intimate cocktails as it is a wine a spirts lounge that can hold up to 40 guests. There is also the option of private dining for 11 guests creating a really personal dining experience.
