Venue Search London are excited to share our top London venues with swimming pools, offering unique event space for summer parties! With everyone looking for something a little different, these venues will certainly impress with their swimming pool event space.
Shangri La at the Shard
The luxury five star hotel in London Bridge houses Western Europe’s highest swimming pool which offers guests the chance to dive in nearly 200 metres above sea level. The 10 metre pool is located on the 52nd floor of the tower, and features views as far as Wembley Stadium and as well as Londons other famous landmarks — including St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Tate Modern, the Gherkin and the Houses of Parliament — all whilst swimming in the stunning infinity pool at 623 foot. By day the pool is used by its guests but by night it is a place to party, as an extension of the hotels bar Gong, already one of London’s hottest cocktail bar. The swimming pool is available for private hire along with the Gong bar for a unique and memorable event!
The Curtain
For those of you who aren't familiar with The Curtain, it is a five star hotel with amazing restaurants, live music venue and private members club. The Curtain sits in the heart of Shoreditch, London’s most creative district. Centred around 120 guest rooms and suites, The Curtain offers unique spaces and meeting rooms in Shoreditch to accommodate any kind of event. The cherry on top of the cake is LIDO, the hotels rooftop pool and bar which is a Mediterranean themed space featuring a retractable glass roof and Moroccan inspired pool. A year-round event destination, the day to night restaurant serves up fresh, seasonal dished with skyline views. As well as the rooftop pool and lounge, the hotel also offers 6,000 square feet of event space, with a large ballroom, screening room and much, much more.
Haymarket Hotel
Part of the quintessentially British Firmdale group, the Haymarket hotel is located on the corner of Haymarket and Suffolk Place in the heart of London's theatre district, Soho. It is next door to the famous Haymarket Theatre Royal and is surrounded by some of London's best restaurants and bars. The pool at this hotel is more of a bar than a spa, the enormous space is all about the sleek 55 foot (18m) swimming pool which is edged in stone, surrounded by beautiful grey oak and features a ceiling covered in fibre-optic lights. There is a pewter bar and a spectacular lighting scheme that uses strong contrasts of light and shadow and an ever-changing colourful light installation. As well as being used by hotel guests, this is a grand and modern space for a variety of unique events. It can be customised with beautiful floating candles or completely covered to create a dance floor or even a large networking space. The space can accommodate between 100 – 220 guests for drinks receptions or 70 – 160 for private dining.
