VSL's evening with Cirque Du Soleil at The Royal Albert Hall

VSL were invited alongside a select amount of clients by The Doyle Collection to a very special evening at the Royal Albert Hall. Where the world famous Cirque Du Soleil are currently performing until the end of this month.
The Doyle Collection look after three Central London boutique hotel properties; The Marylebone, The Bloomsbury and The Kensington.
All of which VSL enjoy recommending to our clients for a variety of occasions; from seated dinners, meetings and of course Christmas parties!
Each property has been styled with beautiful interiors creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere for both leisure and corporate events.
The evening started at the Royal Albert Hall's in-house restaurant, Verdi Italian Kitchen. Where we were treated to a delicious three-course meal in the main restaurant. Verdi serves authentic Italian dishes in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that one would expect from their Italian roots.
After dinner, we were brought through to a private box to take our seats before the grand show commenced!
For those of you who may not have experienced the iconic venue, it truly is magnificent. The Royal Albert Hall is one of the UK's most treasured and distinctive buildings. Since the hall's opening by Queen Victoria in 1871 the world's leading artists and many performance genres have appeared on its stage. Therefore, it was an absolute honour to be invited to attend the special occasion.
It is also no surprise why Cirque du Soleil bring their magical show to the legendary venue. This year marks their 25th anniversary and their celebratory show is titled Luiza, a walking dream of Mexico.
The show takes us on a journey of imagination, tapping into Mexican influences, but is like walking through a dream, where light (“luz” in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain (“lluvia”) soothes the soul. With a surrealistic series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, Luiza cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity.
All elements of the show can be appreciated, from the talented dancers and performers to the immersive set and production created to completely transform the venue. The experience really is like no other and is truly inspiring!
