Earlier this week, the VSL team were delighted to host a wonderful festive VIP breakfast for some of our lovely clients at the beautiful 8½ London. In partnership with Blue Strawberry, we were treated to a delicious breakfast and exclusive site visit of this historic London livery hall.

First of all, it is worth mentioning that 8½ London is a truly special venue; a Grade I listed hidden gem that radiates historic charm with a fresh and elegant twist. Offering first-class hospitality for corporate events and private celebrations, it’s one of those rare spaces that feels both grand and warmly intimate at the same time.

Our morning began with delicious breakfast mimosas in the Outer Hall, where guests gathered beside a glowing open fire and a twinkling Christmas tree; the perfect festive welcome. We then commenced a guided tour of the venue, which has recently undergone an extensive multimillion pound refurbishment. This transformation was evident as we wandered through the building. Historic architectural details have been extremely well preserved, which were complemented by modern styling that brings an “old-meets-new” perspective to every space.

The venue is also impressively well-equipped, with discreet built-in AV, multiple presentation screens and flexible meeting spaces ideal for meetings and breakout sessions. From grand gala dinners in the Great Hall to more intimate boardroom meetings in the quaint dining and reception rooms, the opportunities here are endless.

As we explored the venue, we discovered fascinating stories derived from the building’s history, from its destruction and rebuilding after the Great Fire of London to fascinating tales of secret royal family rendezvous. If only the walls could talk, we’d never want to leave!

The tour concluded in the Old Court Room, where a stunning seated breakfast awaited us. Guests were treated to a live egg station with toppings galore, before settling down for a relaxed morning of networking, conversation and festive cheer.
