This morning, Venue Search London, in partnership with co-hosts ETM Collection and The Bowls Club, welcomed 45 prestigious event buyers to the sun-drenched rooftop of Wagtail for an insightful Summer Events Breakfast & Panel Discussion.

There was a wonderful buzz at our Summer Events Breakfast today, and we at Venue Search London were absolutely thrilled with how the morning unfolded at Wagtail Rooftop. The sun shone brightly over the terrace, creating a vibrant and optimistic atmosphere that perfectly matched the energy of the discussions.

Our Managing Director, Clare Phillips, gave the attendees some useful insights into the latest event buying trends, with Holly Mathews (ETM Collection) and Chris Scriven (The Bowls Club) presenting their summer offerings, including opportunities around June and July’s key dates for the FIFA World Cup.

Overall, the panel agreed that many corporate event buyers were looking for more informal summer events, with an increased focus on activities and participation, rather than the more traditional dinner dance formats still favoured for Christmas parties. Clare also has observed a trend towards mixing business with pleasure via the addition of and afternoon meeting or conference before their summer evening reception.  Venues with rooftops or gardens are clear favourites for these event formats.

Wagtail Rooftop strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated ambiance and relaxed energy, making it a wonderful venue for corporate summer parties. The Summer Events Breakfast raised over £400 for The Bowls Club’s chosen charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. Guests left with notebooks made by the Ghanain girls from the sewing centre of Venue Search London’s charity, Akwaaba Volunteers & some lovely homemade truffles.  It was a true pleasure to connect with our clients in person, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting.
