When it comes to London’s winter markets, the choice is overwhelming. As the build-up to Christmas begins, more and more will pop-up all over the city. Here are a few of our highlights to get you in the Christmas spirit...
Winter Wonderland, open from 22nd November
For you who enjoys the thrill and excitement of a funfair, consider the delights of Winter Wonderland. Hyde Park is once again returning to their ferris-wheeling, candy flossing and ice-skating glory. Bigger and better than ever, with plenty new attractions this year including Peter Pan on Ice and Ice Sculpting Workshops. There will, of course, also be their famed Christmas lights for the group selfie opportunity and the Christmas craft market for those special gifts and treats. Perfect for families and friends, there will definitely be something for everyone.
Winterville, open from 15th November
If Christmas screams party to you, then look no further than Winterville of Clapham Common. There are DJs, magicians, adult and children raves, roller discos and much, much more, to keep your spirits up and your stomachs full. And if that was not enough to keep you entertained for the night, then perhaps the billboard of ticketed shows and workshops is what you have been looking for!
Enchanted evening events
If you are looking for something a little different this winter, then maybe some after-dark enchantment is what you need. Many of London’s major gardens and castles parks will be turning up the magic and the fairylights, to take you on a journey through their tinselled woodlands. Expect carol singing, warm cocoa, bonfires and smores. Fun activities for all the family and who knows what wonder can be found at the end. Book early to avoid disappointment.
