VSL visits The Barbican

Fam trips are certainly back and last week the VSL team was treated to a fabulous evening at The Barbican Centre. If you need to trust in one venue to make your event more interesting - trust The Barbican.
The Barbican is an unusual architectural and cultural gem located in the heart of the City, with plenty of choice for venue hire for corporate events. The building was developed in the Brutalist style of architecture alongside the residential Barbican Estate. Since opening in 1982 the centre has been hosting concerts, theatre productions, screenings, exhibitions and large scale corporate events for up to 1950 delegates.
The Barbican offers a blend of arts and business, a combination that is not offered by many venues across the City. They have a range of auditoriums with seating from 160 guests up to 1160, private rooms and halls that can be used for conferences, receptions and meetings. Each event space has its own personality and bespoke packages can be created to that connect with their arts programme.
One of our favourite spaces is the spectacular Conservatory, Conservatory Terrace and Garden Room which can be used together or independently of each other. Combined they can accommodate up to 650 guests for a standing reception.
The Garden Room is a stunning conference and catering venue with floor to ceiling windows overlooking The Barbican Lakeside, St Gile's Church and cityscape of London.
The Conservatory is a joy to discover, a hidden tropical oasis which is home to exotic fish and over 2,000 species of tropical plants and trees. Alongside the Garden Room, it can accommodate up to 300 guests for a standing reception. Coloured lighting has been incorporated into the planting, creating a stunning environment for events held after dusk.
High up under the glass roof of the centre, the Terrace overlooks the tropical treetops of the Conservatory. A magical space flooded with natural daylight which is suitable for a variety of events including drinks, dinners and exhibitions. This private tropical garden is available for Christmas parties and is such a unique setting for guests to enjoy festive fun amongst the exotic plants and trees.
Suitable for groups of 150 - 650 packages start from £109 + VAT per person. Searcy's are the onsite caterer here who's food and service is incredible!
