Hire The Sir Peter Wakefield Library, Asia House (W1G 7LP)

One of this venue's finest rooms is the library. Named after venue founder Sir Peter Wakefield, the library is as one might imagine a library: cosy and walled with books.

However, with light painted walls, high ceilings, large windows at one end and a chandelier, the library shuns the idea of a dark reading room.

The library's usual layout is that of a grand home's sitting room with comfortable sofas and arm chairs set around the fireplace. The room is a wonderful setting for intimate meetings, cosy dinners and equally a film screening for 30.

This library is unique, with book shelves designed by Sir John Soane (of Soanes Museum fame) which were the first designed to be adjustable to allow for books of all shapes and sizes.
