Igloos at Somerset House

As lockdown 2.0 draws to a close, we can begin to look forward to celebrating Christmas festivities. Venue Search London wanted to share with you a brand new pop-up restaurant in London which is the perfect setting for friendsmas and date nights!
Hospitality and restaurants across the UK are being as creative as ever so that the public are able to enjoy the spaces as much as possible depending on the new rules and regulations which are likely to come into place once the UK’s second lockdown has ended, on the 2nd December 2020.
Somerset House is one of London’s most iconic venues in the heart of the West End. The London venue is normally home to the popular ice skating rink, SKATE at Somerset House during the Christmas months. The iconic London venue's grand courtyard is normally transformed each year into a magical winter destination with a 40ft Christmas tree and alpine inspired restaurant by Fortnum & Mason.
Unfortunately, this year we will be missing the ice rink, however Somerset House have recently announced that they have partnered with The Eventist Group to launch Igloos at Somerset House offering a stunning, intimate private dining experience.
Somerset House is located a short walk from Covent Garden Station and close to the river, the venue is the perfect location for a Christmas day out in the City. You can wander the West End to see the stunning lights and Christmas Trees and then make your way for lunch or dinner in your very own cosy, heated Igloo. The experience will be running from 3rd December 2020 until 1st January 2021, you can book your private igloo for 4-6 guests.
Children of all ages are welcome in the Igloos, so this is also a fantastic idea for a family day out during the school holidays.
The festive igloos are being catered by Alison Price & Co (who are part of Eventist Group), experts in event catering and fine dining. Igloos at Somerset House will be offering delicious two and three course set menus for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The set dinner menu starts from £49,50 and includes a sparkling cocktail with your three course dinner.
