Hire Freud Museum London - a flexible space for memorable events in London
This was the Freud family dining room, where frequent large gatherings of family and friends were held around the dining table. Three of Sigmund and Martha's children lived nearby.
The painted furniture in the room belonged to Anna Freud. It was Anna, rather than her parents, who had a taste for traditional painted furniture, and these chests and cupboards came from the country cottage that she and Dorothy Burlingham shared near Vienna. The dining table was bought in England.
The dining room has direct access to our beautiful garden.
Anna displayed two of her father'd pictures, a print of Mount Fuji and a souvenir painting of nine views around the alpine spa of Bad Gastein, which sigmund ha visited several times.
Anna also hung a portrait of her father above the fireplace.
