Surround yourself with award-winning architecture and a vibrant creative atmosphere in one of Tate’s daytime venues.  Our purpose-built auditoria and versatile event spaces offer the perfect backdrop for conferences and away days.

Tate Modern, located on Bankside, is easily accessible from Blackfriars, London Bridge, and Waterloo stations.  Meanwhile, Tate Britain offers a striking setting just a ten-minute walk from Westminster.

Situated on the 6th floor of the Blavatnik Building, the South Room is a light-filled space that showcases the bold, brutalist architecture of Tate Modern. With its clean lines and distinctive brickwork, this blank canvas venue can be styled to suit your event - accommodating up to 200 guests in theatre or banqueting layout, and 100 guests in cabaret style.   There’s ample room for AV setups, staging and catering stations, making it ideal for everything from keynote sessions to networking lunches.  The entire floor is yours for the day or evening, with the option to expand to the level below for breakout spaces or back-of-house requirements. For an unforgettable end to your event, consider a post-conference reception on Level 10, where panoramic views of the London skyline provide a stunning backdrop.

For smaller meetings of up to 100 theatre and 70 cabaret, the East Room offers an exceptional setting high above the city. Located on the top floor of Tate Modern’s riverside Natalie Bell Building, this elegant space features floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, framing breathtaking views of the River Thames and London skyline.  Ideal for board meetings, panel discussions, presentations, or private lunches, the East Room offers an elegant and inspiring atmosphere. A striking glass walkway alongside the space is perfect for serving refreshments during breaks.

If you require a more formal setting, both Tate Modern and Tate Britain have sophisticated auditoria. The Starr Cinema (Tate Modern) and Clore Auditorium (Tate Britain) reflect the character of their respective galleries and have outstanding AV capabilities for screenings and panel discussions. Both come with adjoining foyers ideal for registration and catering for between 150- 190 guests.

Unique to Tate is our own catering team, Tate Hospitality, who can provide the perfect menu to enhance your daytime event. What better way to start the day then with Tate coffee, sustainably sourced and roasted on site at Tate Britain. Or perhaps a delicious fresh breakfast smoothie paired with one of our home-made healthy bars. We source the best British ingredients such as delicious Hampshire trout and English leaf salad, from our fork buffet lunch menu.  And to end your conference why not indulge in one of more sustainable wines chosen by our CEO and sommelier Hamish Anderson.
