London's Top New Afternoon Teas

Monday 29 April 2019

 The Stafford The Pelham

It may feel like another day, another afternoon tea, but when they are this good, we’re on board and we mean business! In this article, VSL have picked out three of the best Afternoon Tea treats in London to satisfy your sweet cravings.. or need for tiny little sandwiches.

First up, the Four Seasons Hotel - Ten Trinity Square – If you’re looking for your classic and tasty, Ten Trinity Square has launched their version of a quintessentially British afternoon tea with minted cucumber and Coronation chicken sandwiches. Pastries inspired by the Crown Jewels and of course deliciously toasty scones with clotted cream. We’ll let you decide which way around your cream should go.. Champagne is an optional extra making this a great option for all.

The Game Bird at The Stafford London – Let us take you on a journey through the streets of St James, filled with Luxury boutiques and Deli’s. Inspired by their surroundings, the Chef’s at the Stafford work with six local stores to source their ingredients to bring you Cheese, a white Chocolate and Lime Jelly Top Hat, Chocolate Cigars and an Almond Shortbread Tuxedo. Simply delicious! For something a little different we’d recommend The Stafford.

The Pelham - V&A’s latest exhibition on Dame Mary Quant, is the inspirational figure behind The Pelham’s new icon-inspired menu.
The colourful and playful offering includes ‘Swinging London’ sandwiches, Quant’s Crayons (multi-coloured mini-buns), edible Chocolate Lipsticks and a classic Victoria Sponge Cake, all constructed under the watchful eye of renowned Chef Alfredo Russo and his team. “Drinks” you say? Well, the menu has been paired with ‘Forever Mini’ cocktails and a ‘Plastic Fantastic’ mocktail.
