NEMO to promote UK inbound event busines

Britain for Events has launched a new hashtag to promote National Events Month in October. The campaign is using #NEMO to encourage event organisers to run new events during the month as well as carry branding on existing events.
#NEMO aims to reach event organisers around the world and encourage them to use the UK for their meetings and events. Venuesearchlondon’s CEO Sam Gill is keen to support the campaign. “There is no doubt that London 2012 has helped with awareness of the event opportunities and amazing range of venues London has to offer international business, which remains an important growth market for the UK events industry.”
The #NEMO mini campaign has taken over the Britain for Events Twitter page this week and Venuesearchlondon encourages the event industry to share the hashtag across social media platforms, and to get involved in supporting the campaign.
National Events Month is part of Britain for Event’s efforts to advocate the best of British events. The National Events Month initiative will focus on four sectors of the industry, each launched by a host event and that will include Exhibitions and Experiential, Conferences and Meetings, Outdoor, Cultural, Sporting and Music Events, and Corporate Hospitality and Incentive Travel. “We have lots to be proud of within the UK from dynamic festivals and exhibitions, to creative brand activations and globally revered conferences and congresses” comments Britain for Events Campaign Director, Alistair Turner.
